Callie Kazakoff, Owner

I am a 2021 Honors graduate of MSU’s Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship. I have been serving the Bozeman community since I founded Big Sky Tutoring when I was 17 years old. I know one thing for sure: there is no place like Bozeman. It is a privilege to work with the fantastic families of Gallatin Valley. Thank you for your patronage and trust in me.

  • I have always been a tutor. Throughout middle school, high school, and college, I worked as a volunteer and private tutor in all kinds of subjects, furthering my passion for accessible education and personalized learning. I find great joy in instilling confidence in my students. I enjoy my work because with every single session, I can hang my hat knowing I made a notable difference in a child’s education and life.

I specialize in supporting high school students who need a full academic overhaul. I teach study skills, organizational tactics, time management, personal accountability and advocacy, and long-term orientation.

Kamron Hansen, Science Specialist

I have a Bachelors in Physics and a Masters in Mechanical Engineering, both from MSU. I discovered my calling as an educator during graduate school. Since then, I have taught college physics, engineering, and chemistry at MSU.

  • There is something deeply rewarding about guiding students through these difficult courses. I firmly believe that any student is capable of mastering any topic. I always seek to make the subject matter meaningful to the student. Every student is different, requiring a different approach. I am an expert at adapting my teaching to fit a student’s learning style.

Piper Morris, Mathematics Tutor

I graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Mathematics. I am currently pursuing a second bachelors in physics at MSU with the goal of receiving a PhD in Astrophysics. I've been tutoring math for 5+ years and was given the privilege of being the Director of Mathnasium while in California.

  • I'm passionate about helping my students understand the power of mathematics and strive to make learning fun and constructive.

Olivia Firth, Math Tutor

I recently finished my Master’s in Computer Science as well as my college teaching certification. My undergraduate degree is in Mathematics. Throughout my graduate studies, I worked on an interdisciplinary project that brings computer science to middle schools in rural Montana.

  • Since graduating, I have been working as a developmental math instructor for Gallatin College and MSU. I have a passion for helping students develop strong problem solving skills and a growth mindset that will serve them throughout their education. I’m excited to help students with their math courses, but am also happy to help with general academics, writing, and study skills at any age level. Years of teaching and tutoring have taught me to have a patient and supportive approach to helping students succeed in a learning environment that may be a struggle for them. When I am not teaching math or computer science, I volunteer as a mountain bike coach for elementary students in Bozeman.

I tutor students with school in general, whether that be study skills, writing, or math. I have worked with elementary through college students and specialize in Mathematics.

Madi Inman, Tutor/Academic Mentor

Madi is from Boise, Idaho. She is an MSU Honors student studying Kinesiology. Her love of both sciences and helping others has led her to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. She excels in her own academics, and uses her knowledge and compassionate personality to help other students succeed.

Medora Perkins, Tutor/Academic Mentor

I am an MSU Presidential Scholar and a member of the Honors College, studying Political Science and Spanish. I have a passion for serving my community and I’ve spent the last year volunteering with Spanish-speaking elementary school students, helping them to build a solid foundation of knowledge in both Spanish and English.

  • Having mentored numerous students over the past few years, I am delighted to be a member of the Big Sky Tutoring team. I am a compassionate mentor, and I deeply enjoy helping students improve.
