School districts
Our team is excited to support your school district through our newest partnership with the University of Montana and MTDA Clearinghouse. This partnership makes our services available to schools throughout Montana at a discounted rate. School districts can purchase a package through MTDA for an allotted number of hours, and our team takes it from there. Purchased hours can be used over the course of a year at your convenience. Those hours can be distributed amongst your students through individual or small group tutoring at your discretion. If you run out of package hours, you simply purchase another package, they are renewable at any time.
We can provide individualized, holistic support for any K-12 student in the subject areas of reading, writing, social studies, math, sciences, and Spanish. We also provide a unique service called Academic Mentorship; through this service we become a student’s “academic case manager” tracking all of their grades and assignments. We help students prioritize, make homework/study plans, and learn to advocate for themselves in the school setting.
Tutoring Package Use Cases

Mountain School District is a small rural school district in Eastern Montana. They have two students who are enrolled in MTDA’s chemistry course and they do not have an in-person teacher on site for this course. The students are doing well with MTDA’s teacher resources, but could use some extra support on their homeworks. Mountain School District purchases the “Growth Private Tutoring Plan” entitling them to 25 hours of private tutoring. Through the online booking link, they enroll Sam in individual tutoring on Tuesdays from 12-1pm. They sign Sally up for individual tutoring on Thursdays from 12-1pm. Their package purchase covers 12.5 weeks of tutoring. When their package is close to being used up, the District contact, Sarah, receives an email from Big Sky Tutoring that it’s time to repurchase. Through the shared email link to MTDA’s purchasing website, Sarah purchases another package. Sam and Sally continue receiving their individual tutoring support.

At Lupine High School, there are fifty students taking geometry through MTDA. Five of these students have IEPs. While Lupine school does have a teacher on-site for facilitating the MTDA geometry class, these IEP students need extra support with the course material. Wildflower School District purchases the “Volume Private Tutoring Plan,” entitling them to 50 hours of tutoring. The school site contact for Lupine High School uses the booking link to schedule appointments for each IEP student. Their package covers 10 weeks of tutoring, one hour each for the five IEP students. When their package balance is running low, Candace receives an email from Big Sky Tutoring that it’s time to repurchase. The district contact purchases a new package through the MTDA website and the five IEP student seamlessly continue their weekly private tutoring.

At Salmon High School, there are ten students enrolled in Algebra 1 through MTDA. The principal of Salmon High School decides to provide extra support for students. Salmon School District purchases a group tutoring package entitling them to 10 hours of group tutoring at $40 per student. Every three weeks, the school site contact books a group review by emailing schools@bigskytutoring.info. All the students in the course at this school site join for an exam review before their first big test. When the next test comes around, Salmon School District purchases another package and repeats the process.
